Privacy policy
Last updated 19 July 2026
This policy covers Daily Recap, an application published by JMS Media Group LLC on the Clover App Market. It explains what merchant data the app reads, what it stores, who it is shared with, and how to have it deleted.
What the app reads
When a merchant installs Daily Recap and authorizes it, the app is granted read-only access to three types of data from that merchant's Clover account:
- Merchant — business name and time zone, used to label the message.
- Orders — order totals, item counts, timestamps, and order state, used to calculate the daily summary.
- Inventory — item names, used to identify best-selling items.
Daily Recap holds no write permissions. It cannot change prices, modify orders, issue refunds, or alter anything in a merchant's Clover account. It does not request access to payment card data, customer records, or employee records, and never receives them.
What is stored
- The Clover merchant ID and the access token issued at install.
- The business name.
- The mobile number and time zone the merchant enters in app settings.
- A log of which days a recap was sent, to avoid sending twice.
Order and item data is fetched at the moment a recap is generated, used to compose the message, and discarded. It is not retained.
Who it is shared with
Data is shared only with the service providers needed to deliver the product:
- Twilio — receives the mobile number and message text in order to deliver the SMS.
- Fly.io — hosts the application and its database.
Merchant data is never sold, rented, or used for advertising, and is not shared with any other third party.
Text messages
A merchant consents to receive messages by entering their own mobile number in the app's settings page. Message frequency is one message per business day. Message and data rates may apply. Replying STOP to any message ends delivery immediately; replying HELP returns support contact details. Removing the number in settings, or uninstalling the app, also ends delivery.
How long it is kept
Stored data is retained for as long as the app remains installed. When a merchant uninstalls Daily Recap, Clover notifies the app and the access token is deactivated immediately. Remaining records are deleted within 30 days.
Requesting deletion
A merchant may request deletion of their stored data at any time by emailing johan@struijk.it from an address associated with the business. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Access tokens are treated as credentials and are not shared. No system is perfectly secure, and merchants are notified without undue delay if a breach affects their data.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
